Elevating Youth, Elevating the World
Why Youth?
India, the world's youngest country, faces challenges like urbanization, migration, religious polarization, gender discrimination, caste atrocities, and environmental degradation. With 120 million young people reaching working age, they lack support and opportunities for career planning

Our
Programmes
Youth Leadership
Leaders need careful mentoring where individual dilemmas, conflicts, and anxieties are resolved within a political and ethical framework. Our goal is to leave behind a legacy of a generation of youth leaders with fresh perspectives, who can truly work towards a just, humane, and sustainable world.
Livelihood Education
We carve out fulfilling and engaging careers for marginalised youth while providing them with support and encouragement to reach for their dreams. We don’t just provide technical skills, we help young people build dignity and confidence in themselves.
Youth Work Promotion
Working with youth is the only way to really change the world, yet the number of organisations working to support and empower young people in India is still miniscule. With this in mind, we focus on promoting youth work as a profession in Karnataka, and the nation.
Youth Rights Advocacy
Youth are often considered as having duties, responsibilities, potential, and privileges, but can we also consider them as having rights?
Building Youth Centric Knowledge
The mandate of Kanaja, Samvada’s youth research cell, is to create and disseminate knowledge about youth and youthhood, in partnership with young people.
Anita Ratnam
